I tetti della Cattedrale di Vienna
La cattedrale di Santo Stefano a Vienna presenta un tetto molto particolare, formato da tanti mattoncini colorati disposti in una forma geometrica particolare.

 

Per vedere questo particolare tetto si deve salire sulla torre, impresa non facile in quanto si devono salire ben 343 gradini e non esistono ascensori. Una volta arrivati in cima la visuale è spettacolare, sia sulla capitale austriaca che sui tetti.

 

Il tetto iniziale era di legno, ma andò distrutto durante un incendio nel 1945 della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, Il tetto venne quindi ricostruito con ben 230.000 mattoncini colorati dalla forma a zig-zag. I lavori della torre terminarono nel 1950.
